I have to tell you something kind of funny that happened yesterday.

Instagram suspended both of my accounts. 😂

Not for anything scandalous — turns out creating two accounts with similar names and content while running ads and blocking hundreds of people all in the same week looks pretty suspicious to Instagram's AI. 😅

Totally my fault. Appeal submitted. Lesson learned.

You may be thinking well why did you do that anyways??

I had a reel go viral but in a completely different country...which isn't great when you're trying to share how to become a bookkeeper in the US.

The algorithm was pushing all my content in the wrong direction faster than I could figure out how to fix it. So I started a new account.

But here's what I realized sitting here unable to access either account:

My bookkeeping income didn't change one single dollar.

Not when Instagram suspended me. Not when my Reel got 73,000 views from the wrong country. Not when I spent three days fighting an algorithm instead of running my business.

Because my clients don't care about my Instagram.

They don't care about my follower count. They don't care if I went viral. They don't care if Instagram suspends me.

They just need someone reliable to manage their books every month.

And they pay me $2,500/month for it — whether I'm on Instagram or not.

THAT is the difference between bookkeeping income and social media income.

One requires an algorithm. One just requires showing up.
